I am an 24 years old with a monthly salary of Rs 30,000. I am a moderate risk taker. I have started two SIPs, of Rs 1,500 each in Axis Bluechip Fund and Mirae Asset India Fund. I plan to stay invested over a period of 10+ years. I also make monthly investments of Rs 1,000 each in PPF and Kotal NV20 ETF and Rs 3,000 in LIC.
Please suggest me two more SIPs of Rs 1,000 each.
Also could you suggest me some investments that would earn me some quarterly income(around Rs 5,000 quarterly).
Veena Malgonkar, certified financial planner, KM Wealth Solutions, responds:
I would really like to congratulate you on investing 30 per cent of your income. If you continue this way by the time you are 50 years only you are bound to be financially free where you will have choices.
Currently, you are investing in a large cap fund and a multicap fund. You can add a large and midcap and also a pure midcap fund. Hence I suggest Sundaram Large & Midcap Fund and also HDFC Mid-Cap Opportunities Fund.
If you wish to get aN inflow of about Rs 5,000 per month, you would need to invest at least Rs 7.5 lakh. For this maintain an asset allocation of 70 per cent debt and 30 per cent equity.
